Event Information
Beans on Toast invites you to an evening of songs, stories and celebration at The Clapham Grand on Sunday 21 September.
This annual event will be a special seated show in South London’s finest music hall, marking the launch of his brand new book Wild Folk People. He will be performing songs from across his back catalogue and introducing the characters from the book that inspired them.
He will be joined on the night by Jack Francis, one of the greatest songwriters out there, and Bassie Gracie, who will be sharing some of her wonderful poems.
The Clapham Grand is the perfect venue for this show. First opened in November 1900, it has hosted everyone from Charlie Chaplin, Oasis, Laurel & Hardy and Courtney Love to the Vengaboys. It is now run by Beans on Toast’s old Nambucca flatmate Ally Wolf and is one of the last remaining true Variety Palaces in the UK.
