Eater – one of the handful of O.G. punk bands (including The Clash, Sex Pistols, Buzzcocks) – were formed by Andy Blade during the first wave of 1976 whilst he was still at school.
The band has evolved seamlessly into the 21st Century with the evergreen Mr Blade, and his current line-up of hip young gunslingers.
Rebranded in 2022, the band have been both busy and selective, playing dates of their own at home and overseas, as well gigging with the likes of Dinosaur Jnr., Jah Wobble, and Bad Nerves.
Following on from the success of 2025’s Duplication album (Cleopatra Records), this Highbury Garage event is the band’s first London show for almost two years.
The line-up is typical of Blade’s preference for an eclectic happening. It features themselves (obviously), and their friends, the post-punk legends, Wasted Youth, and the uber-cool, tipped-for-the-top Gen Z’ers, Quick Romance. Additionally Eater will be joined on stage by notable extra guest appearances on the night. Keep watching the socials for bulletins…
