This week has been an absolute doozy, with tons of great new releases to pick from and here are just 4 of them: a brand new album from Teenage Fanclub and some epic singles by Squid, Greyson Chance and black midi. Check them out, and if you like what you hear snap up some tickets right away.

Teenage Fanclub - Endless Arcade

Even if we weren’t living through extraordinarily troubling times, there is nothing quite like a Teenage Fanclub album to assuage the mind, body and soul, and to reaffirm that all is not lost in this world. 'Endless Arcade' follows the band’s ninth album 'Here', released in 2016. It's quintessential TFC: melodies are equal parts heartwarming and heartaching; guitars chime and distort; keyboard lines mesh and spiral; harmony-coated choruses burst out like sun on a stormy day.

Squid - Pamphlets

Squid this week released 'Pamphlets' the third single off their upcoming album, and it just flat out bangs. With all three singles going so hard it won't be any surprise if 'Bright Green Field' is in the conversation for our album of the year.

They are also insanely good live, as we saw at Dot To Dot Festival in 2019. Make sure you are in the audience this year when they play Brighton, Nottingham and Newcastle on their UK tour.

Greyson Chance - Hellboy

Sexy and sultry, Greyson Chance's new single 'Hellboy' also marks him as a force to be reckoned with this summer. The confidence to write this track actually came from buying a pair of tall red boots from a thrift store, upon entering the studio and proclaiming "we are writing a song about sex today, I'm wearing these high heels, that is the vibe'" the work on this new track started.

His shows at Manchester's Night People and London's Heaven this year are going to be glorious, make sure you have your tickets.

black midi - Slow

black midi also unveiled a new song from their forthcoming second album 'Cavalcade', the latest track 'Slow' is a theatrical epic coming in at 5 minutes and 37 seconds of goodness. Accompanied by an insanely good video this oscillates with the music from calm to frantic and back again.

Seeing black midi live is quite the experience, don't miss out on tickets to see them in Leeds and Brighton. On sale is at 10am on Tuesday.
