Another Friday means a whole host of new music released for your listening pleasure! This week, we check out the latest new tracks from Arlo Parks, Dope Lemon, Sam Fender and Nubiyan Twist!
Arlo Parks - Caroline
Arlo Parks has done it again! Another beautiful tune to add to her intimate catalogue of singles released this year, ‘Caroline’ is a self-confessed “exploration of how something once full of healthy passion can dissolve in an instant". As part of her upcoming debut album ‘Collapsed In Sunbeams’, set to land on January 29th 2021, the track reaffirms the destiny of the whole record as an unstoppable female force. Arlo will be showcasing the album at shows in Nottingham and Bristol next May, don’t forget to grab your tickets!
Dope Lemon – Kids Fallin In Love
Dope Lemon, Angus Stone’s whimsical side-project, has dropped a mellow new single. Brimming with ambient guitar riffs and gentle echoing vocals, the tune transports you into an almost fairy-tale, child-like daze whereby the title appropriately fits. He’s also just premiered a 70s inspired music video to go alongside the track so make sure you check it out below and grab a ticket for his live shows at Birmingham’s O2 Academy and London’s O2 Forum Kentish Town next June!
Sam Fender – Winter Song
Fender’s emotive cover of Lindisfarne’s ‘Winter Song’ has hit the shelves and we can’t help but jump head-first into the festive spirit… and it’s not even December yet! On the song's lyric video, the Geordie singer collaborates with homelessness charity, People Of The Streets and incorporates photographs taken by the homeless. Fender said that “homelessness is something that's gotten terrible over the last 20 years in this country and people who are going to be hit the worst over these lockdowns are the people on the streets and the homeless.” Don’t miss out on his UK tour in 2021 with special shows in Bristol and Leicester!
Nubiyan Twist, Soweto Kinch – Buckle Up
The rising 9 piece collective of musicians and producers, Nubiyan Twist, have just released their latest single 'Buckle Up' featuring Soweto Kinch & Nick Richards! Taken from their upcoming album 'Freedom Fables' which is set for release 5th February 2021, guitarist/producer Tom Excell comments on the upcoming LP with "Freedom Fables reflects on the power of narratives and references a lot of music that we all loved during our formative years; you can hear touches of broken beat, blunted hip hop, highlife, Latin, jazz and UK soul running through the tracks." If that concoction of genres doesn’t make fans excited then we’re not sure what will! Be sure to pick up your tickets to see Nubiyan Twist live in Nottingham and Manchester next September!
