Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs – Viscerals

“I learned long ago, never to wrestle with a pig” reasoned George Bernard Shaw. “You get dirty, and besides, the pig likes it.” True to form, Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs have left the wiser of us aware that they are no band to be messed with.

Their thrilling third album 'Viscerals' really packs a punch, this riff-heavy release gets off to a ferocious start with "Reducer" and "Rebuernecker and never truly relents through its 38-minute runtime. Thrilling and heavy from start to finish, this is sure to be right at the top when it comes to best rock albums of 2020.

Purity Ring – WOMB

After more than five years, Canadian duo Purity Ring have returned with their third album, entirely produced and recorded by the duo of Megan James and Corin Roddick. 'Womb' chronicles a quest for comfort, the search for a resting place in a world where so much is beyond our control. The striking vulnerability of “ruby insides” - “If I could, I would let you see through me” - charts a course that’s both intensely personal and deeply connected to those close to us, our kin whether by nature or nurture.

As the ground shifts beneath their feet, Womb’s characters help one another face death, despair, and world-altering discovery with resilience and grace. For all the terrain it encompasses, Womb’s quest culminates in “stardew”, a glittering, transcendent invitation to “just be where you are” - to experience the kind of powerful peace that can only be found by truly coming home.

Peach Pit – You and Your Friends

Vancouver natives Peach Pits's sophomore album 'You and Your Friends' is a collection of songs about me, people that the band and I care about, and some of the old friends we’ve had over the years,” vocalist Neil Smith says.

This follow up to 2017's 'Being So Normal' sees Peach Pit let loose whilst telling slightly exaggerated tales and parables of close friends and family. Neil Smith has told us "we can’t wait to finally let go of it and start playing these songs for you out on the road!” And we can't wait to see them live!

Mystery Jets – A Billion Heartbeats

Mystery Jets today have released their sixth studio album 'A Billion Heartbeats'. By turns tender and fierce, abstract and full of classic rock energy,A Billion Heartbeats achieves a balance of passion, fear and hope. Amid the colourful cavalcade of rich harmonies, heavy guitars and rallying cries, the album’s essential message - about personal responsibility, and the power in becoming engaged. In a sense, it's not just their "state of the nation” record but their “state of a generation” record too.
